TOOL MAKING:
INSPECT,MEASURE, TROUBLESHOOT ADJUST/MODIFY PROCESSES (MACHINERY AND TOOLING) TO MAINTAIN QUALITY AND PRODUCTION STANDARDS.
VERIFY AND CONFIRM TOOLING BLUE PRINTS
EDUCATION:HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
10 YEARS OF TOOL & DIE/ MACHINIST EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCED WORKNG WITH CLOSE TOLERANCES,MACHINING,GRINDING,JIG BORING, LATHE TURNING , MILLING MACHINES
SKILLSGOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF CALIPER S,MICROMETERS, AS WELL AS OTHER MEASURING DEVICES
ABLE TO READ BLUEPRINTS AND WORK IN ENGLISH AND METRIC UNITS
ABLE TO OPERATE LATHES,MILLS,VERTICAL /HORIZONTAL SAWS,SURFACE GRINDERS,DRILL PRESSES ALL TO CLOSE TOLERANCES
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:ABLE TO LFT UP TO 50
LBS SOMETIMES
ABLE TO STAND ,BEND, REACH AND STOOP
You should be proficient in:
- High School / GED
- Shop Math Skills
- Blueprint Reading
Machines & technologies you’ll use:
- CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Mazak, Haas, Bridgeport)
- Surface Grinder
- 2D Drawings
- Manual Lathe
- Thread Gauges (GO/NO-GO)
- CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas)
- Manual Vertical Mill (Bridgeport)
- Measurement Gauges
- CNC Mill (5 axis VMC)
- Calipers and Micrometers
- Horizontal Machining Center (3-4 axis)
