• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.
• Explain procedures to patients and families as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and work alongside physicians to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members regarding significant events, condition changes, or questions.
• Monitor and execute infection control and environment of care requirements per Joint Commission standards.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communication, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Consult with supervisors when unable to complete tasks safely or effectively.
• Initiate patient and family education utilizing appropriate resources and services.
• Assist team members proactively to contribute to a collaborative environment.

Minimum:

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana, as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• BSN degree.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
