Your Everyday- Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.
- Explain procedures to patients and families as appropriate.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and work alongside physicians to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
- Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members regarding significant events, condition changes, or questions.
- Monitor and execute infection control and environment of care requirements per Joint Commission standards.
- Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communication, and an exceptional patient experience.
- Consult with supervisors when unable to complete tasks safely or effectively.
- Initiate patient and family education utilizing appropriate resources and services.
- Assist team members proactively to contribute to a collaborative environment.
Minimum:
- Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana, as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Preferred:
- BSN degree.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
