Job Summary:

We are seeking a Geriatric Nurse to join our team! As a Geriatric Nurse, you will care for our aging patients, administer medication, and follow care orders laid out by the team of doctors. You will work closely with other nurses and nurses aids, offer support and guidance, make rounds with doctors as needed, and be a supportive presence to our patients.

The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, holds all required licensing in the state, and works well independently and within a team.

Responsibilities:

Make rounds to check on each patient, assess well-being, and note issues as needed

Administer prescribed medications as directed

Make rounds with physicians, offering personal insights and taking care notes

Assist other nurses or nurses aids to ensure smooth shifts and quality care

Maintain a positive, supportive presence for our aging patients

Qualifications:

Active, valid nursing license within the state
Experience working with an aging population preferred
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure
