Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for night shifts, requiring a SC or compact RN license and recent hospital experience.
Responsibilities- Work on a Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7a
- Patient ratios are typically 1:6-7
- 28 inpatient beds on the unit
- Required to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating may be required within scope to like units or sister facilities
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Uses Epic EMR system; prior experience is not listed as required
- Free parking available onsite
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Must complete required modules and onboarding prior to start
- All requested time off must be included at time of application and is subject to facility approval
- Team-focused environment with the potential for block scheduling upon request (not guaranteed)
- Active SC or Compact RN license in hand prior to start
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- SSN and valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidate must live more than 60 miles from the facility
- Previous permanent staff, including PRN, must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
