Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
- Direct 1:1 patient care in a surgical setting
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm
- On-call required 1 day every week and one weekend every month
- Potential for floating between Downtown, Northeast, and Kershaw campuses based on facility needs
- Epic EMR is used in this facility
- Scrubs are provided
- Assist surgeons and surgical team in the operating room, ensuring safe patient care during procedures
- Must complete pre-start online education modules
- Holiday coverage as required by unit needs
- Requests for block scheduling require manager approval and are not guaranteed
- All time-off requests must be submitted with the application and will be approved based on facility needs
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a different compensation rate
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Free parking is provided on site
- Active SC or multi-state/compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
- ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to receive the travel rate
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- Previous permanent employees (including PRN) must have at least 1 year separation from the system
