American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

• Acute care hospital Emergency Department with 75 staffed beds
• General ED serving combined adult/pediatric population, non-trauma designation
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• STEMI and stroke certified facility
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7p-7a) with weekends and holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float between Midlands DT and NE campuses based on census or staffing needs
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active SC or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience interpreting ABGs
• Experience with IV vasopressors and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage
• Experience with CVA and neuro-trauma care
• SSN required for consideration

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and respiratory cases
• Royal blue scrubs required for ER staff
• Must complete facility training modules prior to start
• During hurricane season (June through November), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers with required ER experience will be considered
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration for approval based on facility needs
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for full travel rate
• Free parking available with pass at DT and NE lots
