Are you a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian passionate about providing timely, high-quality care for pets with acute needs? CVETS Urgent Care, a vital extension of the esteemed CVETS family, is seeking dedicated full‑time or part‑time Urgent Care Veterinarians to join our expanding team in West Columbia, SC.

Located at 2989 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, our state‑of‑the‑art facility fills a crucial gap between primary veterinary care and 24/7 emergency services. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring pets receive prompt attention for urgent, non‑life‑threatening conditions, all within a supportive, collaborative, and well‑equipped environment.

Your Role as an Urgent Care Veterinarian at CVETS Urgent Care You will:
  • Assess, Diagnose & Treat:
    Efficiently manage a variety of urgent medical cases, applying your strong clinical and problem‑solving skills in acute settings.
  • Bridge the Gap:
    Offer critical services for conditions that need prompt attention but aren't life‑threatening emergencies, providing a vital service to our community.
  • Collaborate Seamlessly:
    Work closely with our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty teams at the main CVETS hospital (just 30 minutes away) to ensure smooth transitions and comprehensive care for patients requiring advanced or overnight attention.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Strong clinical skills in general practice and/or urgent care medicine.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities, particularly in acute care settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high‑quality and efficient patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Ability to handle a fluctuating caseload with composure and efficiency.
