Quality Assurance Manager

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and direct the company’s quality assurance and quality control programs. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain robust inspection and testing standards

Duties and responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Manager:

• Directly manage and develop the Quality Assurance team
• Hire, train, assign work, and conduct performance reviews
• Promote a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and objectives aligned with company goals
• Lead inspection, testing, and evaluation activities across steel pipe manufacturing operations
• Review MTRs and incoming materials to verify metallurgy, dimensions, and compliance
• Ensure compliance with AWWA C-200, ASME codes, and applicable quality standards
• Investigate customer quality complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Train and lead QA personnel, ensuring consistent application of quality processes
• Communicate quality issues, trends, and improvements to senior management
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods

Skills and experience required/preferred as a Quality Assurance Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Materials, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDE methods, and inspection techniques
• Experience with AWWA, ASME, and steel or piping industry standards
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (or equivalent problem-solving experience)
