Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)

$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in interview.

• Perform a variety of on-site quality control tests, inspections, and project-specific observations/evaluations.
• Monitor and inspect roadway construction to ensure overall compliance regarding plans, safety, and contract requirements.
• Conduct record-keeping to ensure all necessary observations are documented.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives.
• Interpret and work from drawings and specifications.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant roadway testing.
• Candidate should be a Georgia Department of Transportation RTT Certified Technician.
• ACI certification is required.
• Radiation safety training for the use of Nuclear Density Gauge is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
