Job Summary:

A postdoctoral scholar will work on combining density functional theory calculations and machine learning (ML) to model the life‑cycle stability in beyond‑lithium ion batteries.

Education & Experience

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience in scientific programming, atomistic simulations and/or ML.
• Experience in LiS coin cell battery synthesis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential.

Job Duties

• Performing simulations using quantum mechanical‑based methods implemented in standard software.
• Synthesis and preparation of coin‑cell batteries.
• Preparation of manuscripts via compiling, plotting, analyzing, discussing, and communicating results.
