As a Security Officer – Government Facility Patrol in Ridgeland, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. - Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, property damage, or suspicious activity, to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted behavior and provide a sense of security‑related support to occupants and visitors.
- Complete required reports and logs accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal and the site management.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed in accordance with site protocols.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site‑specific guidelines to help maintain a secure environment tailored to the needs of a government facility.
- At least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
