You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a correctional facility environment.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

+ Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate facility personnel and emergency responders when required.

+ Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
