What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government juvenile justice location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, deliveries, and vehicles to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations, reporting security-related concerns and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
