As an Equipment Operator on our Telecom Construction team, you will use and maintain specialized machines to install and repair phone and internet infrastructure, ensuring all work is performed safely and to the highest quality standards.

• Attend new site Job Safety Analysis.
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment.
• Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as directed by the job plan.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from the truck.
• Set up a safety perimeter and perform work in all weather conditions.
• Operate diesel or gasoline‑powered equipment (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Digger Derrick, Pole/Bucket Truck) for installation and repair of underground/aerial utilities.
• Perform clearing, grading, excavations, and all other equipment functions of construction sites.
• Restore property or worksite as needed.
• Conduct general construction work, including hand‑tool use and lifting materials up to 50 lbs, under direction of a Foreman or Supervisor.
• Follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all Federal, State, and company regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver’s license (Provisional licenses not accepted); a CDL is preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in utility construction or maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate utility trucks and equipment safely.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools safely.
• Ability to read utility maps and interpret underground utility types and sizes.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, and for emergencies or on‑call.
• Strong communication skills with customers and employees.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and work in all weather conditions.
• Experience with drill setup and design processes is preferred.

• Work alone in remote locations; lift > 55 lbs (both routinely and occasionally).
• Operate heavy machinery and vehicle repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Perform hand‑motions, fine motor work (simple print reading, keyboard use), and frequent deep bends, stoops, and climbs.
• Work in confined spaces and use ladders as required.
• Work in all weather conditions; maintain safety practices at all times.
