*** Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
* Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
* Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
* Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
* Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
* Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
* Other duties as assigned by manager.
* Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
* Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
* Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
* Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Must furnish own personal hand tools.
* Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
* Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA & DOT regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
* Computer and software experience/ Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery, Etc.
* Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
* Welding ability
* Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation and shift differential .
