Cable Technician

Location: Ridgeville

Cable Technician Level 1 | Ridgeville, SC | $20/hr + OT

TEKsystems is partnering with a leading technology services company on a large-scale data center construction project in Ridgeville, SC. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are ready to learn a skilled trade from the ground up. No telecom experience required we will train the right person.

Position Details

+ Pay: $20/hr + overtime

+

Schedule:

Monday Saturday, approximately 58 hours per week

+

Shift: 10-hour days

+

Location:

Ridgeville, SC

+ Contract Type:
Long-term contract with potential to convert to full-time permanent employment

Responsibilities

+ Pull and route cabling throughout a data center facility

+ Assemble, stack, and drill equipment racks

+ Scan, label, and port equipment

+ Support general installation tasks under the direction of experienced technicians

+ Work safely on ladders and scissor lifts

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

Requirements

+ Prior experience in a physically demanding role construction, general labor, trades, military, or similar

+ Ability to work 10-hour days outdoors in both heat and cold

+ Comfortable working on ladders and scissor lifts at various heights

+ Strong attendance history dependability is non-negotiable on this job site

+ Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

+ Hands-on electrical or low voltage experience

+ Military background

+ OSHA 10 certification

+ Scissor lift certification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
