The Heating Air Conditioning Mechanic is a full-time, on-site position based in Columbia, SC. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment used in large-scale commercial facilities and campuses. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics on heating and cooling systems, conducting routine and preventive maintenance, and responding to service calls to ensure optimal system performance. The mechanic will work closely with project teams and building staff to support EMS-integrated HVAC operations, document work performed, and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.

The position also involves interacting with clients and occupants in a professional manner, addressing comfort concerns, and helping maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Candidates should possess strong HVAC skills, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Candidates should possess maintenance and maintenance & repair skills to ensure reliable operation of mechanical equipment and controls.
• Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills to schedule, perform, and document regular inspections and system tune-ups.
• Candidates should possess customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients, respond to concerns, and represent the company professionally.
• Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC or mechanical systems; EPA refrigerant handling certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and EMS-related documentation.
• Knowledge of building automation or energy management systems is a plus.
• Capacity to work safely with tools, ladders, and in mechanical spaces; ability to lift and move equipment as required.
• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
