Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on VPSoftware Engineering Lead (.NET/AWS) to design, develop, enhance, and optimize cloud-native applications supporting critical business capabilities. This role is approximately 80% hands-on software engineering and solution delivery and 20% technical leadership and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will lead technical design, contribute production code, drive modernization , and help scale highly available applications while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and Dev Ops teams. This role does not have formal people-management responsibilities.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and deliver new functionality across cloud-native .NET applications running on AWS.Enhance, modernize, scale, and optimize existing enterprise applications and services.

Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and distributed application components.

Drive application resiliency, scalability, performance, security, and observability best practices.

Contribute production-quality code and participate in architecture, design, code review, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, Release Management, and Dev Ops teams throughout the SDLC.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to onshore and offshore engineering teams.

Participate in technical planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and agile delivery activities.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, application workflows, and architecture artifacts.

Support engineering leadership through technical metrics, delivery reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience designing and developing enterprise web applications, APIs, and distributed systems using the .NET technology stack.

Minimum of 5 years of experience serving in a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Software Engineering Lead role delivering complex software solutions.

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.Strong hands-on development experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Angular (Angular 8+ preferred).

Experience with Git-based source control and modern CI/CD practices within Agile software delivery environments.

Core Competencies Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture principles.

Strong expertise designing scalable, resilient, and high-performing enterprise applications.

Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across business, product, architecture, QA, and Dev Ops teams.

Experience providing technical estimates and driving successful solution delivery.
