We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to support a large-scale cloud modernization and application migration initiative
. This role will focus on designing, developing, refactoring, and migrating Python-based applications and services into modern AWS and Azure cloud environments
.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced Python development expertise, strong experience building and integrating APIs, hands-on cloud experience, and a solid understanding of CI/CD and Dev Ops practices. This developer will work closely with cloud engineers, architects, business analysts, and other development resources throughout the full software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support complex Python-based applications and services
  .
• Analyze existing applications and identify components that should be rewritten, refactored, or modernized.
• Develop new Python modules and transform legacy application components into modern, maintainable services.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and cloud-native services
  .
• Support application and service migrations into AWS and Azure environments.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to ensure applications align with cloud architecture and organizational standards.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Lab, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or comparable platforms.
• Automate application build, testing, integration, and deployment processes.
• Write and execute unit, integration, and application-level tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex application, API, integration, and deployment issues.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support seamless migration of application components, services, and data into target cloud environments.
• Produce technical specifications, application documentation, test documentation, and other project deliverables.
• Participate throughout the full systems development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and other project team members.
• Evaluate technical requirements, alternatives, dependencies, and risks associated with complex development initiatives.
• Assist with post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.

• 6+ years of application development, systems testing, or related IT experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

• Strong experience with API development and integration
  .
• Experience developing cloud-based or cloud-native applications and services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Dev Ops tools

• Jenkins
• Strong understanding of software development, application integration, testing, and quality-assurance methodologies.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and debugging complex applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable application solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment and collaborate across technical teams.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, ARM templates, or similar technologies.
