JOB DESCRIPTION
:
This position provides professional courier service for the Darlington Facility. This position is responsible for paying close attention to detail. The employee must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers and ensure company goals and quality standards are met on a continual basis. Must properly adhere to company policies and comply with required standards for work orders and labor laws within the department on a continual basis from one delivery to the next.

PRIMARY

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with other employees to make sure that various items are picked up and delivered to the appropriate location in a timely manner
• Pick up and deliver packages and documents to designated locations within a timely manner
• Obtain signatures and payments from recipients, when necessary
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and records
• Ensure the safe and secure transport of all deliveries
• Communicate any delivery issues or concerns to the appropriate parties
• Understanding and knowledge of our products and services
• Knowledge of the warehouse and inventory
• Able to help in other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
• Ability to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)
• Proficient driving skills in different weather conditions according to the law and SCSG standards.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, reach for items, walk, twist, stand, and sit/ride in a car for up to ten (10) hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Ability to see clearly with eyes to operate a vehicle and handle written communication via email and other items
• Ability to hear audibly with ears to communicate conversations via telephone and in person
• Ability to work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice

• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and cannot be classified as a “high risk driver” under our Company policies.
• Clean driving record
• Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver preferred
• Self-motivated
• Efficient in Microsoft Suites
• Effectively work by priority list
• Must be located, or willing to relocate, within 50 miles of Florence, SC
• Independent thinker with a team-oriented attitude and approach
• Proficient use of different trailers for transporting
