Overview
Reeves Construction Company is seeking a Fuel Truck Driver based out of Duncan, SC. The role emphasizes safety excellence in all duties.
Main Responsibilities- Operate a standard tanker-type truck and safely load and offload product.
- Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment (tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water).
- Manage paperwork related to Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets, and load tickets.
- Follow detailed instructions, take directions to job sites, exercise good judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
- If operating a Service Truck:
- Oil, grease, and fuel trucks and equipment; ensure crews have water, oil, and fuel for equipment on the job site.
- Complete field services and participate in other construction crew activities; assist with additional tasks as necessary.
- Operate the vehicle safely in traffic and adhere to company policies and procedures; ensure activities comply with safety policies.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Class A CDL Driver's License with Tanker and Haz Mat endorsements and a clean MVR. Must meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

- Climb onto and up and down a vehicle several times a day.
- Sit in a vehicle and operate it for extended periods.
- Withstand vibration, noise, and varying job-site conditions; repetitive use of arms, hands, and feet.
- Perform light manual duties such as sweeping debris, handling tarpaulins, and binding chains.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise typical of construction settings.
