ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to some of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. ADUSA Distribution receives, stores, manages inventory, and ships fresh and non‑perishable products throughout the network of local brand stores. The facilities handle a mix of product types, including fresh, frozen, grocery, and health and beauty care items.
The team supports the supply chain network’s evolution to an integrated self‑distribution model, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands such as Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing distribution center shipping and receiving functions. In this role, you will be an essential part of moving product accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform any shipping and receiving tasks assigned by the supervisor or appropriate designee.
- Complete all documents related to shipping and/or receiving tasks.
- Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre‑operational checks of pallet jacks or forklifts according to company policy.
- Follow good sanitation practices; keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes that impact the work group or distribution center, maximizing efficiency, productivity, and reducing costs.
- Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
- Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposes.
- Highly motivated self‑starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- High School Education.
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to (and including) 80 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to meet production standards set by the company.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
- Must be able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
