Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in South Charleston, WV within the automotive industry, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join their team! This company boasts a competitive salary, and benefits start from day one.

Pay rate: $100K - $120K (relocation available)

Shift: Monthly rotating shift

• Implement process improvements with regards to electrical control systems using all available current controls technologies.
• Maintain control systems to ensure manufacturing activities are within specifications and interpret and apply specifications for manufacturability.
• Support maintenance activities in PM scheduling as well as training and developing maintenance technicians from a control’s perspective.
• Collects, tracks, and advises on downtime issues and implements short and long-term solutions to minimize downtime.
• Manage and execute in-house projects for implementing new engineering changes that modify assembly processes and create / revise electrical drawings in AutoCAD 2000 format.
• Develop and implement HMI / MMI interfaces for existing manufacturing systems.
• Consult with vendors regarding software / hardware updates and troubleshooting systems.
• Other related activities related to the scope of the position.

• BS:
  Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other technical discipline plus 3 years’ experience in a controls/robotic environment or AS:
  Electronics Technology plus 5 years controls experience in a controls/robotics environment or 7+ years’ experience and training in a similar role and environment
• Strong proficiency with PLC (Siemens, Beckhoff, A-B Control Logix, RS View & Panel View), Siemens Step 7, Safety PLC’s (Pilz & Guard Logix), Indramat Servo Drive systems, Panel Builder, PPC & TWINCAT.
• Proficient in industrial control
• Proficient in AutoCAD electrical.
• Proficient in creating and following project management timelines.
