- Schedule:
Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

- Drive a vehicle, most of the time a passenger van under 16 passengers for:
- Seasonal employees’ arrival and departure from Rapid City to the Memorial;
- Employee Orientation, picking up at the dormitory building and taking to Employee Orientation location generally in Keystone;
- Transportation to and from the Rapid City Social Security Administration building;
- Employee day/shopping trips. Destinations include but are not limited to Custer State Park, Badlands National Park, Devil’s Tower State Park, and Rapid City shopping centers.
- Other various seasonal employee transportation as needed and directed by the HR Manager (i.e., drive employee to a non‑emergency medical appointment, assist with vehicle maintenance appointments).
- Assist with checking employees into dormitory building.
- Assist employees with paperwork during Employee Orientation.
- Help develop the monthly calendar of events.
- Listen to employee requests for day trip destinations and dates and provide information for the monthly calendar of events.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and fueled; notify maintenance when the vehicle is in need of service or repair.
- Must follow all safety guidelines, including posted speed limits, all passengers wear safety belts, use of proper turn signals, and park in a designated spot.
- Make proper judgement calls regarding escalation of issues beyond the realm of the position, including dorm compliance issues, employee relation issues, interpersonal conflicts, and workplace concerns.
- Positively represent Xanterra and serve as a role model for employees by complying with housing regulations, Xanterra policies, and state and federal laws.
- Follow company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience driving a larger vehicle, preferably transporting people from one location to another.
- Previous experience providing mentorship to others.
- Possession of a valid US driver’s license and clean driving record in the last 3 years.
- Ability to drive at night, preferred.
- Willing to “pitch‑in” and help the team with tasks.
- Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.
- Constantly sitting and reach outward.
- Occasionally stand, walk, handling, reach over shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 10-20 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 12-25 pounds.
