Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Tenens Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide high‑quality outpatient primary care services in Sisseton, SD
.

• Deliver comprehensive primary care for patients across all ages—pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform routine exams, chronic disease management, acute care visits, and preventive health services.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, care coordinators, and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with facility standards.
• Provide patient education and promote long‑term wellness strategies.

  Schedule:
  
  4-5 days per week, optional weekends
• Shifts:
  
  8a-4:30p, 7:30a-6p, or 8a-8p
• Patient Population:
  All ages
• Patient Census: 12-16 per day
• Duties:
  Routine check‑ups, physical examinations, and health assessments
• Any state license accepted
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• DEA & BLS required
• Paid travel & expenses

• MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine
• Active South Dakota medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA registration
• Minimum 1–2 years of outpatient primary care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in rural settings
• Commitment to patient‑centered care
