This position is part of the Cheyenne River Education Line Office, Bureau of Indian Education. A Supervisory Education Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, directing, conducting, administering, and coordinating academic and curriculum-based programs at a BIE School. This position requires a YEARLONG CONTRACT per Public Law 95-561 and will require contract renewal on an annual basis.
This position IS NOT suitable for telework or remote consideration under any circumstances.
A Supervisory Education Specialist (Early Childhood/Special Education)- CE-1710, is responsible for planning, developing, directing, conducting, administering, and coordinating academic and curriculum-based programs at a Bureau of Indian Education School. May oversee all/specific academic programs (i.e., special education, STEM, gifted & talented, etc.) or student-supporting functions (i.e., dean of students, attendance, student discipline, etc.). Education Specialist is responsible for enhancing educational programs, developing curricula, and supporting teachers and students to improve learning outcomes.
