Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform medical procedures such as gastric lavage when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper data management.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their health conditions.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.
- Adhere to established medical standards and protocols within the practice.
- Work effectively in emergency room (ER) settings as needed.
- Utilize knowledge of medical coding for accurate documentation.
Experience
- A Master?s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred, with familiarity in MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments being a plus.
- Strong background in patient care with an emphasis on quality standards.
- Proficiency in data management systems related to healthcare practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
