Responsibilities
  • Make room reservations and check guests in and out of the hotel.
  • Issue room keys, pamphlets, discount cards, etc.
  • Provide information to guests, answering inquiries about hotel and other services.
  • Ensure confidentiality, security, and safety of hotel guests regarding Front Desk communications.
  • Arrange transportation for guests.
  • Compute bills, post charges, collect payment, and make change for guests.
  • Run various reports – hand‑written and computer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Wear a uniform up to property standards and display a nametag at all times on property.
  • Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management system(s).
  • Ability to quickly learn front‑desk technical procedures (check‑in, check‑out, selling skills, computer operations, telephone operations, etc.).
  • Strong communication and listening skills, and ability to work effectively with the public and staff.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required; hotel property management systems a plus.
  • Proven ability to multi‑task in a high‑volume work setting with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Dependable with reliable transportation and ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
