• Assessment & Diagnosis:
  Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnosis:
  Identify and diagnose acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
• Treatment Planning:
  Develop individualized care plans addressing patient needs, goals, and expected outcomes.
• Prescribing:
  Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical devices as appropriate.

• Basic Requirements:
  Education from an accredited nursing program (graduate or higher level) and licensure as a professional nurse with current, full, active status in the U.S. or its jurisdictions.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Requirements:
  Licensure in the clinical specialty required by the position; graduation from an accredited program in the indicated specialty.

  For GS-13 level, at least one year of professional advanced practice nursing experience equivalent to GS-12, with independent practice as a nurse practitioner and responsibilities such as history/diagnosis analysis, prescribing, chronic/acute care management, and collaboration on treatment protocols.
• Education Verification:
  Official transcripts may be required; foreign education requires a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency if used toward qualification.
