Culinary Aide
OverviewPeaceful Pines Senior Living is committed to providing exceptional care and service with compassion. We are looking for a Culinary Aide to support our staff and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for residents.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure the well-being and protection of every resident through the delivery of high‑quality care.
- Promote and support a positive work environment focused on team building and collaboration.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff.
- Greet residents in a professional and courteous manner while focusing on excellent dining service.
- Clean and sanitize all prep equipment, silverware, glassware, and dishes.
- Keep the dish cart and dish storage areas organized.
- Assist the kitchen in keeping the line and prep areas organized and clean.
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine.
- Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine.
- Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them properly.
- Empty trash containers regularly.
- Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as requested.
- Clean food prep stations and equipment.
- Read and follow directions.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain sanitation of serving and dining areas, wiping tables and chairs during and at the end of the scheduled shift.
- Assist with loading plates into the warmer and passing plates through the window during meals.
- Assist with prep cooking as needed.
- Stock and restock supplies.
- Assist with putting away freight.
- Ability to stand or walk for a full shift and lift at least 20 pounds.
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
- Dependability and a contagious positive attitude.
- A team player looking to promote themselves and the people around them.
- A passion for working with seniors and/or caring for others.
- Ability to read and follow directions.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
