Water and Sewer Laborer; Experienced

Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and experienced Water and Sewer Laborer to assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water and sewer utility systems. This role involves working in physically demanding conditions as part of a team to ensure infrastructure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.

• Assist with the installation and repair of water and sewer lines
• Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment
• Ensure proper trench safety and follow all OSHA guidelines
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and utility locates
• Assist with pipe laying, back filling, and compaction
• Set up and remove traffic control and safety signage as needed
• Work closely with equipment operators and other crew members
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow directions from the crew leader or foreman and complete assigned tasks

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in underground utilities or related construction work
• Knowledge of water and sewer systems and basic installation methods
• Ability to use hand tools and small equipment safely and effectively
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
• Ability to work overtime or travel as needed
