Job DescriptionThis position works on heavy industrial construction sites. The Journeyman will collaborate with the job supervisor to complete projects on time and under budget.
Job Duties- Construct, fabricate, install, and dismantle form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories, rod‑busting, and concrete finishing.
- Read and interpret instructions.
- Document, plan, and perform work activities independently.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
- 2 years of form setting, rod‑busting, and concrete finishing experience in an industrial construction setting.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment; understanding of materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and building codes; proficient at reading blueprints.
- Ability to explain steps and provide clear directions.
- Strong documentation skills, including completion of purchase order paperwork, time sheets, and other required construction records.
- Willingness to embrace the company’s core values.
- Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Mature 18 years old or older.
- Outside most of the time.
- Possible exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Use of X‑ray machines.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
- Climb stairs, ladders, trenches, and elevated platforms (including scaffolding) safely.
- Lift equipment and materials weighing 1–50 pounds; lift 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
- Walk on uneven terrain (average 2 miles per day).
- Stand, sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel as required.
- Use respirator if needed.
- Drive if required; valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required. All drivers subject to DMV background records search.
