OverviewIn this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development and implementation of training programs for field personnel engaged in utility locating. The Specialist Field Training will work closely with field teams, utilizing their expertise to enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce.

- Conduct hands‑on training sessions for field staff, covering topics such as utility mapping, equipment operation, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and support to field personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for field personnel involved in utility locating.
- Ensure all field training activities adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Continuously evaluate and update training materials to align with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and individual performance, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with operations and safety teams to identify training needs and address specific challenges in the field.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and other relevant data. Generate reports to measure the impact of training initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging best practices in field training, incorporating them into existing programs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year or more of proven experience in utility locating or a similar field, with demonstrated high‑quality results.
- Willingness to do overnight travel as needed (up to 50%).
- Strong commitment to safety, both in performance and attitude, with a track record of safe work practices.
- Industry knowledge of utility mapping, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Ability to deliver effective field training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
The wage range for Specialist Field Training is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour.
