Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector

5+ years’ experience as a QA Inspector in a production environment required.

Summary:

The Quality Inspector works directly with production operators, shipping/receiving and material handlers. This includes production set up and support as well as material sign off and approvals.

Key Role Objectives & Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify product quality to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspections.
  • Conduct audits on raw materials and finished products.
  • Work closely with production and industrial teams to address quality issues.
  • Confirm line clearance, material allocation, setup verification, and first‑piece approvals are properly conducted before production begins.
  • Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators to ensure components meet specifications and function properly.
  • Monitor and enforce environmental compliance related to quality control processes, ensuring that materials, chemicals, and waste disposal methods meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Verify that any materials (e.g., silicone sprays) used in production are applied per environmental and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all quality control procedures align with workplace safety standards, actively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are consistently followed.
  • Train operators on quality procedures, updated work instructions, and best practices.
  • Communicate quality and safety findings with the Quality and Safety Manager.
  • Ensure proper functionality of measuring devices and report any issues with calibration, accuracy, or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Report procedures and forms that need updates to maintain accuracy and compliance with industry standards to the Quality and Safety Manager.
  • Report and document any environmental non‑compliance issues observed during inspections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve quality and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with environmental, health, and safety teams to support continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
  • Familiar with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and force gauges.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
