Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a community hospital setting, requiring EPIC charting experience and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

• Active VA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• BSN preferred; diploma or Associate's degree from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE) also accepted
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency care, and dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Telemetry and triage skills required
• 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above)
• No prior travel experience required

• Labor and Delivery unit within a community hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Candidates will float within scope of practice if needed
• EPIC charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius rules
• Provide nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit, including patient monitoring and emergency response as needed
• Complete required orientation modules via the VCU Learning Exchange, to be finished by the Friday of orientation week
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace
• Background checks conducted for all candidates
• Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from VCU Health for at least one year before returning in a travel role
• Candidates should not exceed 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application for consideration, with no guarantee of approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
