Environmental Technician

About the Role

We’re looking for an Environmental Technician to join a major infrastructure project focused on building a natural gas fractionator and export dock. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll manage environmental compliance, waste streams, and water systems while collaborating with multiple teams to keep the project safe, sustainable, and on track.

• Oversee hazardous and non‑hazardous waste streams from start to finish.
• Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and storage of all waste containers.
• Coordinate logistics for roll‑off boxes with contractors, landfills, and transport companies.
• Maintain accurate waste manifests and compliance records.
• Sample waste streams, interpret lab results, and set up landfill profiles.

• Monitor stormwater controls and direct sampling activities.
• Respond quickly to leaks or spills to prevent regulatory issues.

• Assist in creating compliance systems and documentation (CEMS, HRVOC, MECT, permits).
• Support permit rollouts and ensure stakeholders understand regulatory requirements.
• Investigate environmental incidents and complete reports in Intelex.
• Act as a liaison between contractors and external partners to resolve issues such as overweight boxes, documentation errors, and compliance flags.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate environmental considerations into design and operations.

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance practices.
• Experience in waste management and sampling procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
