Purpose of the Position:

Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals, drawings, and requirements for a job/ project.

Essential job functions:

Prepares work to be estimated in detail for all products by gathering proposals, drawing information, specifications, and related documents
Identifies labor (if required) by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents
Reviews and evaluates cost estimates
Computes costs and prepares cost analysis
Communicates with vendors/ suppliers and company personnel regarding new and current projects
Ensures timely completion of estimates
Understands scope of work to bid
Manages bid pricing from vendors/ suppliers
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Computer skills a must.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.

Experienced in Made2

Manage ERP program or able to learn quickly.

Skilled to work in a high-stress/fast-paced work environment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

3+ years' experience in construction estimating

Able to read drawings and develop cost estimates

Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Week: 40- hrs Lunch: 1 hr

Overtime may be required based on shop needs but must be pre-approved by management.

Sitting: 75% Standing: 10% Walking: 15%
