Talent Manager, Employee Relations, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR Manager
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our client's team in South Houston. This role is instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of employment law, and the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
- Administer HR policies and procedures and assist in maintaining the employee handbook.
- Conduct job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer management.
- Support employee performance, development initiatives, and team-building efforts.
- Maintain organizational charts and HRIS records, and generate workforce reports as needed.
- Administer payroll, ensure data accuracy, and compile internal payroll reports.
- Oversee benefits programs including enrollment, claims support, FMLA, W/C, and open enrollment.
- Manage 401(k) administration including enrollments, changes, and compliance reporting.
- Track and maintain compliance with required trainings, licensure, and certifications.
- Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and support disciplinary and termination processes.
- Stay current with employment law updates, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience or a combination of education and experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in payroll, benefits administration, and talent acquisition.
- Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to generate and interpret HR data and reports.
- Prior experience planning company events or employee engagement initiatives.
