Detailer (Flat Rate) – South Jordan / Salt Lake City, UT

Teph Seal Auto Appearance, a privately‑held company operating detail/reconditioning centers across the United States, seeks a Detailer to provide exemplary customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the facilities of the store to produce high quality service.
• Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality service/products, courteous employees and quick response to all customer inquiries and/or complaints.
• Drive, detail, and clean vehicles: wash exterior with cleaning solutions; wax and buff using cloths and buffing machines; vacuum interior, clean upholstery and surfaces; use air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces; apply preservation chemicals; use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect leather or fabric; clean and remove grease on engines or engine compartments.

Working Conditions:

• Physically demanding: frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and maneuvering in and out of vehicles.
• Outdoor work and varying climate conditions.
• Move numerous vehicles during the work shift.
• Use of safe and OSHA‑approved waxes and cleaners.
• Frequent flexing of spine, hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying of up to 50 lbs.
• Constantly receive detailed information orally.
• Clarity of vision and hearing required.
• Ability to inspect work for small imperfections and quality‑inspect team members.
• Work with a sense of urgency.
• Strict adherence to uniform and grooming standards.

Compensation:
Flat Rate.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to learn quickly.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Desire to treat each customer’s vehicle with great care and respect.
• Punctuality and ability to stay on task during shift.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.
• Availability to work Saturday, Sunday, and holidays as needed.
• Commitment to report on time and stay on task during shift.
