• Perform monthly on‑site safety inspections.
• Provide the Engineer an opportunity to participate in these inspections.
• Coordinate safety‑related efforts with the on‑site competent safety person.
• Provide specific project safety orientation.
• Ensure attendance of contractors, subcontractors, and departmental employees working on the project before work begins.
• Document attendance.
• Verify that on‑site supervisors have completed and passed OSHA 10‑hour Construction training or an OSHA 30‑hour Construction training class regardless of company affiliation.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience on transportation and large civil construction projects.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
• Valid Utah driver’s license.

• Transit experience.
• DOT experience.
