• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim to pack at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist customers in removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart during checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
• Create an environment that welcomes customers and shows them they are appreciated by answering product questions throughout the store.
• Adhere to all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
