Description- Utilize knowledge and materials to provide swimming instruction for various age groups from preschool to adult in accordance with National YMCA guidelines.
- Responsible for the health and safety of all individuals in the pool, including caution regarding unsafe practices and conditions, and perform rescue/first aid when necessary.
- Report accidents and injuries and complete incident reports.
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the Aquatics Director.
- Prepare and submit lesson plans and maintain accurate program records for assigned classes.
- Attend staff meetings and events. Demonstrate and teach the Character Development values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.
- Arrive prepared for scheduled classes, including arriving 15 minutes early, wearing proper attire, and maintaining focus and surveillance without distractions.
- Work harmoniously with staff, volunteers, and members to foster team spirit and a family atmosphere. Promote self-esteem during instruction and serve as an enthusiastic, positive YMCA representative.
- Remain informed about current programs and schedules, and be ready to provide personalized assistance to members.
* Hourly rate depends on current certifications.
