Up to £55,000 DOE Bennett & Game Recruitment are proud to be representing a leading structural steel fabrication and construction contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. Established for over 30 years, our client has grown into one of the UK's leading structural steel specialists, delivering projects across the Agricultural, Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial and Retail sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a well-established business that offers long-term progression, exposure to major projects and a supportive team environment.

- Manage project costs from contract award through to final account
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
- Assist the estimating department where required during tender stages
- Review contracts and prepare associated contract documentation
- Administer and manage subcontract packages and orders
- Monitor project financial performance and provide accurate reporting
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project life cycles
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Support project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets and contractual requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
