Depute Head of Establishment

Overview

South Lanarkshire Council is expanding its Early Years Provision and is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Depute Head of Establishments to lead expansion within Early Years settings, supporting staff, children and families.

You will be registered with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council). The Depute Head of Establishment is accountable to the Head of Establishment and would undertake appropriate duties in line with the council’s policies.

Location: Kirkstyle ELC.

Hours: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Work pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, various shifts between 8am – 6pm.

Salary: £42,812 – £43,445 per year.

• Be prepared to manage a number of employees as a Deputy Head of Establishment and demonstrate the skills and abilities necessary to be an effective line manager and describe your management style.
• Detail your experiences and main achievements at a managerial or supervisory level within an Early Years Environment.
• Describe your experience communicating with parents, carers, partners and external agencies.
• Describe the personal and professional development skills and experiences you can bring to the post of Depute Head of Establishment.

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. It is a Regulated Work role with Children and/or adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
