Role OverviewWithin South Lanarkshire Council’s Education Resources, it is our mission to make positive, meaningful changes in the lives of young people. You will lead and work as an effective member of the support services team within a learning community, delivering a high‑quality service which supports pupils and staff and contributes to a positive school ethos.
ResponsibilitiesAs a School Support Team Leader, you must have excellent ICT skills and be able to undertake a variety of tasks using a range of software applications. You must be a competent administrator able to evidence your organisational skills and experience. Previous supervisory experience is desirable. You must be prepared to work flexibly and should have experience of or involvement in the care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment.

An Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years. This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020. This post is considered a Regulated Role with Children and/or Adults, in respect of the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and/or Adults. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
