Position Summary
As a Support Officer you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services to homeless households.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations, applying current issues and legislation related to protection of children and vulnerable adults.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Academy & Office Suite.
- Organise and prioritise workload effectively, adapting to changing priorities to deliver a quality service.
- Maintain excellent communication and liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a housing support service working with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations.
- Understanding of current legislation regarding protection of children and vulnerable adults.
- Experience with a reactive role managing one’s own caseload.

Salary / Hourly Rate
£20,081 - £20,639 per year
Additional Training
Employees working in the housing support sector will be required to undertake further training and/or qualifications, including those introduced by the Scottish Social Services Council.
Legislative Information
This post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Scotland) Act 2020. It is a regulated role with adults under the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020; applicants barred from working with adults are not eligible.
PVG Scheme
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer of employment.
Criminal Record Checks
An overseas criminal record check is required for applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past ten years.
