First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Detention Engagement Officer on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. This role requires you to be flexible. Successful candidates will need to be able to attend for early and late shifts as follows:
On weekdays, the early shifts are 0800 to 1524 and late shifts are 1336 to 2100. On weekends and public holidays (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day), the early shifts are 0900 to 1624 and late shifts are 0936 to 1700. Candidates are required to be available for all scheduled shifts and will not have the option to select specific shifts.

You are expected to work 1 in 3 weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting face-to-face engagements, including inductions and assessments. Discussing options and the consequences of non-compliance with residents. Identifying and managing vulnerability indicators, ensuring that they are recorded and managed in-line with policy. Engaging regularly with suppliers and stakeholders. Giving case updates and managing a portfolio of residents. Recording interactions accurately on IT systems in a timely manner and provide feedback to caseworkers.

Contributing to management reports and undertaking office administration duties such as inbox management and taking phone calls. Flagging issues appropriately and in a timely manner to management or other appropriate departments. Skills and

Qualifications:

Personal safety trained to level 2, spear training. Disclosure Scotland Enhanced non barred or DBS Enhanced non barred. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Leadership potential and the ability to manage testing situations. Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. These roles are 100% office based and are full time only. Driving licence is essential.
