HGV 2 Driver

HGV 2 DRIVER - Stretford At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for an HGV 2 Driver to work with a leading logistics provider in Stretford. You will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to key clients, including LNER (King's Cross), Heathrow, and Gatwick, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service. Shift patterns:
* 5 on 3 off shift pattern.
* Start times vary between 05:00, 06:00, and 07:00.
* Shift schedules are provided to drivers a few days in advance. Pay rates:
* 18.70 GBP hourly.
* Overtime and Bank Holiday enhanced rates available.
* Weekly pay. Essential requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER:
* Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Driving Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
* Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience.
* No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence.
* Able to provide a 5-year employment history and pass a DBS check.
* Willing to complete the CO (Cargo Operative) Course (training provided).
* Must have the right to work in the UK (applicants on a Student Visa are not eligible). Desirable requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER:
* Previous experience working in an airport, transport, or logistics environment.
* Experience with heavy manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
* Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
* Good knowledge of Gatwick Airport and the surrounding road network.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules.
* A proactive and reliable approach, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Role for HGV 2 DRIVER:

* Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cargo is secured correctly.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
