Stores Operator

Location: Lesmahagow
Pay: 13.64 per hour, with the opportunity to work regular overtime at enhanced rates
Hours: Monday to Friday - 14:00 - 22:00

Are you hardworking, reliable, and comfortable operating mechanical handling equipment in a distribution environment? We're hiring a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Lesmahagow
.

You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and preparation of goods within the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating mechanical handling equipment, including forklift trucks
• Ensuring the safe and efficient use of all equipment
• Dealing with goods in, including unloading deliveries
• Storing goods accurately within designated locations across yard areas
• Processing goods and loading items in preparation for despatch to customers
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels by following standardised procedures
• Contributing to Health & Safety standards within the workplace
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the stores and yard areas

• Full-time role working Monday to Friday - no weekends

• Previous stores, warehouse, or materials handling experience is beneficial
• Experience operating mechanical handling equipment, including forklift trucks
• Good understanding of safe working practices
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to follow standardised processes and procedures
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
