WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, safe manner.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language.
- Use Smartlook to interact with customers in a virtual, customer-facing role.
- Provide tax advice, full‑service business return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions.
- Create high quality customer interactions that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive knowledge in business tax preparation.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation.
- Document customer interactions.
- Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 returns per year.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience or books‑to‑tax preparation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers preferred.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230, proficiency with technology, solid computer operations and software skills.
- Strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria and residence in the United States.
